 ve that we serve families with the best possible strategies based on the 
 current evidence. During this session\, we will:\\n\\n\\n explore how sen
 sory processing knowledge provides vital information for planning success
 ful family routines and interactions\;\\n  \\n discuss the effective use 
 of coaching practices to support families to have high quality living on 
 their terms and in the ways that work for their families\; and\\n  \\n ex
 amine the resource effectiveness of providing services via telehealth.\\n
 \\n\\n \\n\\nDr. Dunn is Professor of the Department of Occupational Ther
 apy Education at the University of Kansas.  She is an internationally kno
 wn expert for her studies about sensory processing in everyday life.  She
  has published more than 100 research articles\, book chapters and books\
 , and has spoken around the world about her work.  She is the author/ coa
 uthor of all of the Sensory Profile measures\, which capture people’s res
 ponses to sensory events in everyday life\; these assessments have been t
 ranslated into dozens of languages and are used for both professional pra
 ctice and in research programs.  The second edition of the Sensory Profil
 es for children became available in 2014.  She has received the top honor
 s in her field\, including the Award of Merit for outstanding overall con
 tributions\, and the Eleanor Clark Slagle Lectureship for outstanding aca
 demic contributions\; she is a member of the Academy of Research for the 
 American Occupational Therapy Foundation and has received the A. Jean Ayr
 es research award.  She has also received awards for innovative and engag
 ing teaching\, including the Chancellor’s Excellence in Teaching Award\, 
 the Kemper Teaching Fellowship and in 2011 she received the Chancellor’s 
 Distinguished Professorship from the University of Kansas.  Most recently
  she has written a book for the public about her research entitled Living
  Sensationally understanding your senses\, which has been featured in Tim
 e magazine\, Cosmopolitan magazine\, Canadian Public Radio and the London
  Times newspaper among others.  In July 2009\, Living Sensationally recei
 ved the Seal of Excellence from the Children of the New Earth magazine fo
