Who should attend: Anyone raising children, interested in children and/or working with children. Including: parents (biological, adoptive and foster), grandparents, teachers, early childhood educators and providers, pediatricians, nurses, paraprofessionals and DHS workers.

Dr. Norka Malberg will talk about Play and Playfulness, how they are the main way in which human beings find themselves and others. This presentation will focus on the developmental, social, and emotional benefits of play and the value of playfulness for children and adults. Examples of how play and playfulness helps us manage emotions, relate and communicate better and support children in the process of learning and growing will be presented.
