Sept. 14 On the Road set at Tulsa Tech's Lemley Campus

An informational evening for caregivers with children with special needs
Eight different state agencies and organizations will present information in a panelist format at a Sept. 14 "On the Road" sponsored by Sooner Success and Tulsa Technology Center. The evening will provide information tohelp you navigatge the systems of healthcare and transition services for children with special needs. The event will take place in the Training Center Building Room 1 on Memorial Drive in Tulsa from 6-9 p.m.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with information presented by Sooner Success Tulsa and Rogers Counties, DHS Developmental Disabilities Services, Oklahoma Disability Law Center, Oklahoma Parents Center, Dept. of Rehabilitation Services, Lead Learn and Live, TARC Tulsa and Tulsa Technology Center. Following information provided by these agencies and organizations, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and get assistance for questions to help you and your child with special needs. The event is scheduled to conclude by 9 p.m. Formal training CEU's will be provided: .03 CEU's. Refreshments will be served.
"This is a great opportunity for anyone caring for a child with medical, physical or behavioral needs to gain information that will help them care for the future now as well as plan for life after graduation from high school. This event focuses on both healthcare information as well as transition information," said Tonda Ames, Sooner Success Region 2 coordinator.
