With the support of the Developmental Disabilities Council of Oklahoma, Sooner SUCCESS has hosted multiple caregiver retreats across the state. These retreats provide a time for family caregivers of individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities to get a break from their daily caregiving responsibilities. There is no cost for families to attend and respite vouchers are provided to help pay for the care of their loved one wihile they are getting a break. Additionally, in-depth resource navigation is completed with caregivers and the Charting the LifeCourse Exploring Respite materials are reviewed with each caregiver.
