Canadian County Coalition

The Canadian County Coalition for Children & Families

Cardinal Point: Family Service Center, 7905 E. Hwy 66, El Reno OK 73036

Date/time of meeting:

(including beginning & ending time) The Coalition meets on the second Tuesday of each month. The meeting runs from 12:00-1:00p.m.

Mission Statement or primary goal of coalition:

The mission of the Coalition shall be to improve the quality of life for children, youth, and families through coordination of community services with a focus on child abuse prevention and community health. This group includes monthly updates from various organizations including Sooner SUCCESS, and highlights speakers from county supporting agencies and organizations.

Past coalition projects, awards, highlights and/or accomplishments: 

Community wide Baby shower, car seat giveaway, Touch-a-Truck in conjunction with a medication “Take Back” program, Child Abuse Prevention month Blue ribbon initiative.

Current area of focus:

Presentations and trainings related to Mental Health including Resilience, N.E.A.R Science, and related subjects.
