Tulsa Sunshine Pediatric Center recipeint of oral device from ARK
Thanks to ARK Therapeutics, Inc., a family whose child attends Tulsa Sunshine Pediatric Center is better able to help their child with a donation of an oral motor device. Heidi Gummell, a COTA at Tulsa Sunshine Pediatric Center, contacted Sooner Success to see if they could assist a family who could not afford the motor device and had no resources to obtain the much needed equipment. Sooner Success Tulsa and Rogers Counties contacted ARK Therpeutics who then graciously donated an oral motor device.
Lauren Woodward, MS, CCC-SLP, and co-founder of Tulsa Sunshine Pediatric Center said, "the device will be so helpful for the family and client, and we are so thankful to have such great connects, like Sooner Success, available in the Tulsa area. This is a wonderful program, and they are willing to assist families and therapists who need help."
"Sooner Success is also thankful to business like ARK who are willing to give back to the community in times where something is desperately needed. While ARK can't donate every time we ask, they certainly stepped up and helped this client at a critical time, and we are thankful for that," said Tonda Ames, Tulsa and Rogers counties coordinator for Sooner Success.
