Date/time of meeting: (including beginning & ending time) The Coalition meets on the second Tuesday of each month. The meeting runs from 12:00-1:00p.m.
Mission Statement or primary goal of coalition: The mission of the Coalition shall be to improve the quality of life for children, youth, and families through coordination of community services with a focus on child abuse prevention and community health.
This group includes monthly reports from the following groups and/or grant funded projects: Sooner SUCCESS, Canadian County Caring For Kids, Partnership for a Healthy Canadian County/ Health Access Network , Red Rock RPC/SPF, CCaT, Smart Start.
Past coalition projects, awards, highlights and/or accomplishments:
Community wide Baby shower, car seat giveaway, Touch-a-Truck in conjunction with a medication “Take Back” program, Child Abuse Prevention month Blue ribbon initiative.
Current areas of need the group is working on:
The two most important current areas of focus are:
1: Infant Mental Health training workshops in the planning stages for childcare workers and foster parents.
2: Tools for Schools is a project to raise funds and distribute needed school supply items mid term to area schools.
