Summer Camps

The following is a list of summer camps in and near Oklahoma for people with disabilities. There are also many more summer camps for children in Oklahoma that are not set up specifically for children with disabilities or special health care needs

• Camp Barnabas (Purdy, MO): A Christian camp for children, teens, and adults with medical, physical or developmental disabilities, and their siblings.  Call 417-476-2565 or visit the camp’s website at for more information. http://www.campbarnabas.org/#kids

• Camp of Champs (Quartz Mountain State Park, Lone Wolf, OK) A residential camp for children ages 6-13 sponsored by Cameron University.  The camp will be held May 30- June 2.  Applications and health forms are due March 31^st, 2016.  For more information, click here:  https://www.cameron.edu/education/beyond-the-classroom/camp-of-champs

• Camp ClapHans (Norman, OK): A camp for children ages 8-16 with special needs, an outreach project of the JD McCarty Center for Children with Developmental Disabilities. Visit https://www.jdmc.org/www.jdmc.org/campclaphans for more information.
   
• Camp Perfect Wings (Oklahoma City, OK): A camp for children (ages 8 and up) and adults with special needs sponsored by the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma. For more information visit www.bgco.org/ministries/special-needs or call 405-942-3800, ext. 463.
   
• Camp Tumbleweed (Oklahoma City, OK): A camp for teenagers and young adults with disabilities located on the Dale Rogers Training Center’s main campus.
