Camp Erin® Tulsa

One in seven children will lose a parent or sibling before they are 20.

Research links untreated grief with depression, struggles in school, drug and alcohol abuse, and death by suicide.

Kids that have experienced a loss can feel isolated, different. They may feel like no one understands what they are feeling. Coupling this with the pressure to be strong or to “get over it” can crush little hearts. Children are resilient, but they need help coping with their loss. They need a safe place to tell their story and heal. Camp Erin Tulsa gives them that place.

Camp Erin is a free, weekend camp for children ages 6 to 17 who are grieving the death of someone close to them.

It is a traditional, fun, high-energy camp combined with grief education, peer bonding, and emotional support led by grief support professionals and trained volunteers. Camp Erin Tulsa is part of The Moyer Foundation’s national Camp Erin program.

”It was amazing to realize that I’m not the only person who has ever been through something like this. We all have a different story, but we all share one of the most important parts. I LOVED camp.”                       - Camper 2015
