Must enroll in the "On the Road" to take advantage of the free respite

Sooner Success, Rogers and Tulsa counties, is pleased to announce we will be hosting respite at the same time as the June 8 "On the Road" at the Tulsa Tech Lemley Campus. You must be enrolled for the free "On the Road" to take advantage of the free respite that evening from 5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.

CLASS Tulsa is providing 3 staff therapists as volunteers to help with respite, and additional volunteers include a Skiatook special education teacher, and possibly 3 students who have an interest in helping with children with special needs. Children must be fed before the respite, however, we will have water and cookies. No outside food is allowed to be brought in. We will have games, crafts and movies for the respite attendees.

"On the Road" is an informational event for families, teachers, therapists, child care works or anyone who has or works with a child with special needs. Representatives from DRS, DHS, Oklahoma Disability Law Center, Oklahoma Parents Center, Sooner Success and Tulsa Technology Center will present information in a panelist format with questions from the audience. A free meal will be provided to the "On the Road" attendees, as will as giveaways and 2 door prizes.

For an enrollment for and respite registration form, please email: tonda-ames@ouhsc.edu. Deadline for registering is June 5.
