Heighten awareness of Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT).

Teachers, are you looking to start a transition program in the community?  Are you looking to find new ways to connect your students to community agencies? Are you interested in increasing the number of quality stakeholders in IEPs who can provide meaningful information?

Equine-assisted Activity Professionals, are you wondering how to help youths with disability gain independence?  Are you wondering how your location can be a perfect site to teach transition skills?

PATH Intl. has launched an outreach campaign for special education teachers to heighten awareness of Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT). The Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International® (PATH Intl.®) was formed in 1969 to promote safety and optimal outcomes in equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) for individuals with special needs. More information on PATH Intl. is available here:

*FREE* webinar will be held February 21, 2018 at 2 p.m., Central Standard Time for anyone in the special education field or EAAT interested in learning how to connect their center or services with schools. "Riding Through Transition" is part of a FREE three-part series presented by PATH Intl. Certified Registered Instructor and University of Oklahoma Zarrow Center for Learning Enrichment doctoral scholar Andrea Suk, M.S.Ed. Topics covered will help facilitate the connection between EAAT programs with local schools and special educators by discussing how to meet transition needs of youths within your program, highlighting advantages to creating a transition program at a EAAT location and examining important considerations when executing a transition program at your location.
